LCP Materials

XAGIC has a sophisticated production line of liquid crystal materials and formulations. We supply high-quality Cinitec® series photoalignment materials, polymerizable liquid crystals, chiral dopants, dichroic dyes, primers for TAC/PC/COP and related materials. By using these materials synthetically, people can make kinds of optical devices and films with special optical effects, which are widely used in the fields of display, optical components, and decoration.

___Photoalignment Materials_

XAGIC Cinitec®BMxP series photoalignment materials are highly sensitive to linearly polarized UV light. They can be used to rapidly induce the alignment of liquid crystal molecules. Our alignment materials have:

- Stable alignment, resistance to the secondary effects of light and heat;

- Strong photo-sensitivity and low exposure energy required;

- Controllable tilt angle to LCPs from 0°-90°；

- Patterned alignment with high DPI;

- Excellent adaptability for R2R (micro-gravure/slot-die) and lab (spin/bar/inkjet) coating.

___Polymerizable Liquid Crystals_

XAGIC supplies Cinitec®BMxC series polymerizable liquid crystals (reactive mesogens) and their formulations ready for coating. Our LCPs have:

- Optional LC phase range from 30℃ to 180℃;

- Optional birefringence range from 0.1 to 0.21;

- Good solubility (10%-60% in cyclohexanone@25℃)

 

___Chiral Dopants_

XAGIC Cinitec®BMxD series polymerizable chiral dopants are used in combination with polymerizable liquid crystal monomers. After mixing, they can self assemble to establish a twist structure, producing sharp color effect. Because of the high helical twist energy (HTP ~ 80μm^-1), the expected color effect can be achieved with only a small amount of additive. Our chiral dopants have:

- Precisely controllable pitch of cholesteric LCPs;

- Good physicochemical and heat resistance after polymerisation;

- Good miscibility with LCPs;

- Both polymeriable left and right chirality.  

___Dichroic Dyes_

XAGIC supplies black dichroic dyes that can be used with photo alignment material Cinitec®BSxP and polymerizable liquid crystal Cinitec®BMxC to develope coated polarizing films; Combining with small molecule liquid crystals to develope PDLC film; With Cinitec®BMxT series materials to develope angle absorbing films and other special functional film products.

___Primers_

XAGIC Cinitec®BMxH series of primers are developed for sensitive substrate such as TAC, COP and PC. The primers can provide good adhesion between substrates and photoalignment materials.  

___Alignment materials for Cholesteric LCs_

XAGIC supplies water-based alignment materials for aligning cholesteric LCs. Thanks to the materials that our customers can coat cholesteric LCs on any type of substrate such as paper, metal, glass, etc. without reflection and color loss. 

___Potential Application of XAGIC Materials_

Retardation film: Quarter wave plate; half wave plate; achromatic quarter wave plate etc., which used as compensation film for LCD and anti-reflection circular polarizer for OLED. 

Tilt angle controlled retarder: o-plate, super thin privacy film,multi-function wave plate, etc. 

Patterned retarder: 3D display, wide viewing compensation, etc. 

Cholesteric film: anti-blue light film, non-absorption circularpolarizer, DBEF, color-shift etc. 

Coatable polarizers 

Others: liquid crystal grating，liquid crystal photo thermal sensor, liquid crystal polymer dispersed liquid crystal (LCPDLC), liquid crystal waveguide film, liquid crystal decorative film.
